Vuurtoreneiland is a unique piece of nature in its own city. In a rugged landscape you find loose animals, rare flora, a deserted fortress and Amsterdam's only lighthouse. Located in the Markermeer near Durgerdam, Lighthouse Island is only accessible by ship.
In the spring and summer you will eat in the summer restaurant, a transparent glass case, sheltered for wind and rain, 'food in and of nature'. In the colder months, dinner is eaten in the winter restaurant, and we look for intimacy and warmth, with a fire and a blanket.
