A plane narrowly missed cars on a California highway as it came in low for a landing.

Dashcam footage filmed on Highway 99 shows the moment the plane passes just metres above the busy road on its approach to Lodi airport.

The amazed filmer comments that the small aircraft almost hit a truck on the other side of the motorway.
