This is the second of aof Clouds and Sky tutorials. Perfect for beginners and seasoned artist alike. For larger paintings I simply use a bigger brush. There is no change in the technique.\r
\r
Paper: Arches 140lb hot press, Natural white.\r
\r
Paint: \r
Winsor: Newton Sap Green, Burnt Sienna, Ultramarine, Sepia, Yellow Ochre da Vinci: Quinacridone Fuchsia and Phthalo Blue.\r

Painting Skies\r
Wetting the sky area is the most important \r
part of a smooth application of paint.\r
After saturating the sky area,\r
I allow the paper to dry to a dull sheen.\r
Then, wet it a second time. I dont apply paint until \r
there is only a slight sheen and no pools of water.\r
Once the sky area is ready l work quickly.\r
