This is the dramatic moment that three people had to be rescued after being trapped on a rock on a Cornish beach with the tide rapidly coming in. Coastguard and RNLI crews rescued a stranded group of walkers “minutes” before they got cut off by the tide. The Newquay inshore lifeboat and the Newquay and Padstow Coastguard crew were scrambled shortly before 3pm on Saturday 22 November, to rescue a three people who got in to trouble while walking between Whipsiderry beach and Watergate Bay. It is understood that they lost track of time and became cut off by the incoming tide.
