Release Date: 2019

Fallout is a series of post-apocalyptic role-playing video games. It was created by Interplay Entertainment. The series is set during the 22nd and 23rd centuries, with its atompunk retrofuturistic setting and artwork are influenced by the post-war culture of 1950s America, and its combination of hope for the promises of technology and the lurking fear of nuclear annihilation. A forerunner for Fallout is Wasteland, a 1988 video game of which the Fallout series is regarded to be a spiritual successor.

Fallout 76 was announced on May 30, 2018, through a teaser trailer set to John Denver's "Take Me Home, Country Roads". The trailer features scenes of Vault 76, decorated to celebrate an event referred to as "Reclamation Day", a Pip-Boy listing the current date as October 27 2102 (the earliest time period depicted in the franchise) and an unknown dweller of Vault 76. The trailer's soundtrack suggests that the game will be set in West Virginia.
