Its a story that started back in 1955, when a man from Addicks, Texas, started building off-road equipment under the company name Applied Research and Development Company, or ARDCO, for short. His 4x4 buggies became so popular in the oil and gas industry that he set up shop in Lafayette, Louisiana, and expanded his operation.\r
Eventually, ARDCO was purchased in 1989 by Pettibone Corporation, a leading manufurer of material handling equipment, pipe and tire handling machines, railroad construction and maintenance machines, and rough-terrain forklifts. ARDCOs headquarters remain in Lafayette, but production has been moved to Pettibones facility in Baraga, Michigan.\r
Since becoming part of Pettibone, ARDCO products have only gotten tougher, and theyre more customizable then ever. Now, you can choose from wheeled, tracked, amphibious and water boat carriers, and equip them with platforms designed for a variety of hauling, drilling and other jobs in remote areas. In other words, ARDCO is your best choice when the only road, is no road.
