President Moon meets with World Bank chief, pledges active contributions to Africa's economic development

President Moon Jae-in met with the head of the World Bank, Jim Yong Kim today.
The liberal leader pledged Korea will take a more active role in the economic development of Africa.

"Particularly, we will actively cooperate by sharing our past experiences of investing in people, which is what you have emphasized."

The World Bank, affiliated with the UN, provides economic support for the industrialization of developing countries.
Kim visited the Busan to attend the annual meeting of the African Development Bank.
He noted that African nations want to follow the path of economic development that Korea has taken.
