Most Powerful Person in India 2018

From Tejashwi Yadav to Om Prakash Rawat to Amitabh Bachchan, the new entrants in this year's list of most powerful Indians are expected to play pivotal roles in their respective fields. With the weight of the 2019 general election hangs heavy on this year’s list, a few new faces did manage to shake up the old order. While some of the names on the list were repeated from last year, 2018’s list has new entrants from the field of politics, business, film industry and more. Bengal's most popular mass leader has carved out her space in the national discourse as a staunch critic of Modi govt.

7. Rajnath Singh Union Home Minister
The second-most powerful minister in the cabinet s credited with paving wat for a dialogue with all stakeholders in Kashmir.

8. Arun Jaitley The union Finance minister
After the Punjab National Bank scandal will have to improve the way state-owned banks are run. Revenue collections from GST and a higher growth trajectory will be his key challenges.

9. Yogy Adityanath Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh
With the 2019 general elections looming, his priority would be to repeat the party's performance of 2014


10. Mukesh Ambani The chairman of Reliance Industries
Mukesh Ambani made a re-entry into the telecom business through Jio. The venture made significant progress in 2017, by reaching a customer base of 16 crores by the end of the year. The latest "Forbes ranking of the worlds richest puts Ambani at the 19th spot, a jump of 14 places.
