Here’s what happened: the Billboard Music Awards people were like- yo! Between Meghan and Harry’s wedding and 13 Reasons Why and Handmaid’s Tale, we gotta bring our A-game this year. And they delivered! Amazing performances, outfits, camera cut-aways to celebs being adorable, but at the end of the day it’s an awards show so let’s talk winners. Kendrick Lamar, whom had an astounding 15 noms, walked away with a very impressive 6 wins including Top Rap Artist though this all went down in the non televised portion of the show. Boo. After her 2 year awards show hiatus, Taylor Swift also came out a winner in the Top Female category as well as Top Selling Album for Reputation. Speaking of Taylor, she and Camila Cabello looked the cutest of besties the whole night and Tay was definitely very happy for her girl when Camila took the prize for Billboard Chart Achievement Award.
Khalid earned his spot as the Top New Artist. To no one’s surprise BTS beat out Ariana, Demi, Shawn Mendes and Bieber for Top Social Artist.
