Good morning. The capital area experienced some powerful thunderstorms overnight. Rain, thunder and lightning...another round of lousy weather is on tap for Korea's upper regions on this Thursday.

Yesterday Seoul saw nearly 45 millimeters of rain and we had downpours in the middle of night along with lightning and loud thunder. On and off heavy rain will continue so have your waterproof rainwear and umbrellas ready before heading out.

Upper regions will see heavier showers with a heavy rain advisory in place for parts of Gangwon-do Province. The further south you are, the less rain you'll see.

Daily lows are kicking off similar to yesterday at 19 degrees in Seoul and Busan.... Daegu, Gwangju, Gyeongju at 22 degrees.

It will continue to feel like as if we are in monsoon season...with heat and high humidity. Seoul gets up to 25 degrees. Gyeongju, Jeju and Daejeon will have highs a few notches higher at 30 degrees.

That's Korea for you and here's the international weather for viewers around the world.
