According to gizmodo.com, "A study published in the journal 'Injury Prevention' found an alarming number of Airbnb venues lack safety protections that are required of hotels and other lodging options." In the study, 120,000 in 16 major cities were analyzed, and a majority of them failed to have first-aid kits and fire extinguishers. Compared to hotels, who have standardized expectations to adhere to, Air BnB's aren't held to as high of standards. Always do research when accepting an Air BNB.
