An explosion at a supplier's factory has halted production of Ford F-150 pickup trucks.
Ford shut plants in Michigan, Missouri and Kentucky due to the parts shortage.
It may resume production as early as May 18th in Dearborn, Mich., and Kansas City.
Mercedes-Benz also stopped producing its SUV's in Alabama because of similar shortages.
