Trump to Lay Out Biofuels Plan In Meeting With Senators

On Tuesday, US President Donald Trump is expected to lay out his plans for the nation’s biofuel policy, in a closed door briefing with senators. The meeting could end several months of talks between Big Corn and Big Oil over the future of the U.S. Renewable Fuel Standard. Discussions have been mediated by the White House, with the intention to help oil refiners cope with the costs of the regulation. The RFS policy is intended to help farmers and cut down on petroleum imports.
