♡ In this video, I am showing you how I turn my digital artwork into cute little plastic key chains w/ Grafix Brand Ink Jet Shrink Film!! \r
\r
Its a great way to preserve your art as well as turn it into an every day accessory. You can also scan in traditional drawings and print that out if you choose to use one of your traditional drawings, or you can also choose to find images online to print as well. This is a very versatile project and there is a lot that you can do with these! \r
\r
I am in no way saying this is the correct or only way to use this shrink film or to do digital art. I am just showing what has always worked for me and what I find is easiest and I hope these tips will help you guys as well! (: ♡\r
\r
♡Important Tips♡:\r
-DO NOT use a laser printer! Laser printers generate heat and your shrink film be ivated to shrink.\r
-Make sure the ink adheres to the shrink film and has dried completely before baking.\r
-Oven temperature should be between 300°F to 350°F. I chose to use 300°F just to have a little bit more time.\r
-It will begin to shrink VERY QUICKLY. Dont be alarmed, just let it do its thang :3 It will naturally smooth itself out.\r
-Keep a spatula or any other sturdy flat object around (like a book, or a flat plate) to flatten the shrink film after it has shrunk and it still has a couple curves in it. \r
-If it has cooled before you were able to get the shrink film smooth with your spatula, then pop it back in the oven for a few seconds to warm up and soften, and press again.\r
-Let it completely cool before handling.\r
-Sand away any rough edges as needed.\r
