Quick and Easy Cattails Silhouette Acrylic Painting

This is a quick and easy silhouette painted with acrylic paint. The background is blended using white, pink and purple paint. I used a filbert brush and script liner paint brush to and black acrylic paint to create the cattails and long grass. I added glazing medium to black paint to create a transluscent colour to paint on the background cattails so that they would look like they were fading into the background a little.\r

round paint brush\r
script liner paint brush\r
filbert paint brush\r
watercolour paper (a canvas can also be used)\r
*NOTE: the background was prepainted with pink acrylic paint. It was completely dry before adding the blended background.\r
