Crab uses jellyfish as top hat to hide from predators

A crab has been spotted hiding under a jellyfish to protect itself from predators.

The footage shows the crab scuttling along the sea floor with a jellyfish attached to its shell.

Carrier crabs or porter crabs are known for toting around sea creatures, like sponges and black corals, as a defence mechanism against predators.

The clip was filmed off Papua New Guinea on April 12.
