Police Respond to House Explosion in North Haven

An explosion rocked a street in North Haven, Connecticut, as police responded to reports of a man who had barricaded himself inside his house with his family on the evening of May 2.The blast, which occurred along 385 Quinnipiac Avenue, injured at least four SWAT officers who were preparing to enter the house, which had what local official Michael Freda described as “a very, very serious domestic” dispute raging within, according to the New Haven Register.Authorities have not ruled out the possibility that the house was booby-trapped.This footage, shot by Chris Dacey of Q30 Television, shows the police presence on the street.
