So for Easter I made a Vanilla Cake with Buttercream Icing. This was requested for an Eater dinner we went to. hope you enjoy..

Recipe:

1 cup unsalted butter , softened
½ cup vegetable shortening
3 cups granulated sugar
5 eggs , room temp
3 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
¼ teaspoon salt
½ cup whole milk , room temp
½ cup buttermilk , room temp
2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Cream filling:

1 Cup Whipping Cream
5 tsp Sunset Gourmet Amaretto Infused Raspberry Preserves

Buttercream Icing:

1½ cups unsalted butter , softened
5 cups powdered sugar
2 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Pinch of salt
2 - 3 tablespoons heavy whipping cream
