In late 2007, I was privileged to record an all brand new album called "Disco 2008", which led to me being reunited once again with Angie Gold. We cut a brand new retro disco high energy stomper, called "No Pain No Gain". I first worked with Angie in 1986,when I mixed her Passion single, "Applause" and have to say that the most recent song for my Disco 2008 album had to be unashamedly one of the gayest record of the last twenty years. Easily !!!! Angie is a studio legend and has appeared on countless tracks as one of the UK's top session singers. She had a huge hit with 'Eat You Up' in Japan, becoming one of the two biggest ever Western language records to be successful in the Orient, selling about ten million copies there. Angie recorded in the 1980s under many names, and her voice appears on countless dance hits. She worked with me many times, for Passion, Nightmare, and an entire album on Record Shack, distributed by the now defunct Hot Records, in the early 1990s. I mixed "Applause" and produced "Third Finger Left Hand" for Passion, I cut "Right Back In The Middle" for Nightmare and the album, "The Best Of Angie Gold" on Hot, from Miami. She now lives in the Canary Islands. The Divas rule once again. When we did the album in the 1990s, we re-recorded her huge High Energy anthem, "Eat You Up', and here she is performing it. Check out the wonderful song "You Take My Breath Away", here on YouTube - my personal favourite Angie Gold song of all time.
