Paul Esmond Hazell - Back To Basics

For me, I don't think we've ever got more real and more authentic than this fabulous song. Paul is a member of the legendary Northern Soul group "The Four Vandals", along with Gerod Harris, Julian Cannonier, and of course the X-Factor winner, Steve Brookstein. I love the rich texture of his voice, and the stop and start rhythm that so exemplifies classic Northern Soul. At the time we posted this video here on my YouTube channel, it was absolutely brand new, less than ten days old. We recorded it for my album "Northern Soul 2007", which was released in September 2007 on Centre City Records. The consists of twenty four brand new 2007 songs by soul and disco legends, including Leee John, Gee Morris, The Flirtations, Voices With Soul, Ebony Alleyne, Noel McKoy, and lots of others. Each song has an accompanying video to go with it.
