Frances Nero - Keep On Loving Me

Frances Nero released "Keep On Loving Me after she won a talent contest in Detroit in 1965. She then left Motown and recorded for Eddie Singleton's Shrine label, but those recordings never even came out, so she went twenty three years between releases. I loved this Motown classic so I was determined to find her, so put out a plea on a Detroit TV show and also in the Detroit papers, and she turned up because of this. Once we'd found her, it was inevitable that we'd do a remake of this song and here she is, after visiting England for the very first time, in 1990, before "Footsteps" was even a hit, and performing "Keep On Loving Me" at a Northern Soul all nighter in Morecambe.
