Auto Express road tester Lesley Harris was part of the judging panel that picked the Caravan Club's 2008 Towcar of the Year.
A gruelling test at the Millbrook Proving Ground in Bedfordshire saw 36 contenders tow their way through a series of tests and trials. The final decision came down to the wire, but in the end the Ford Mondeo Estate's all-round abilities allowed it to edge ahead of Skoda's load-lugging Octavia Scout.
