SACHIN TENDULKAR - THE RUNOUT THAT TRIGGERED A HUGE RIOT AND EMPTIED AN ENTIRE STADIUM!!

Eden Gardens,Kolkata February 19, 1999. The inaugural match of the Asian Test Championship India vs Pakistan. Sachin has been bowled for a first ball duck in the first innings by Shoaib. In the second innings Sachin Tendulkar collided with Shoaib Akhtar while taking a run who was waiting close to the stumps to gather the return. The 3rd umpire gave him out.\r
Tendulkar headed off looking slightly bewildered and went straight to the TV umpires room instead of the dressing room, to see the incident replayed. One of the biggest controversies in cricket.\r
Then the huge crowd erupted at what was perceived as a gross injustice to their hero and started chanting cheat, cheat, pelting Shoaib Akhtar with bottles and other objects as he returned to his position in the deep. Sachin had to come out to pacify the angry crowd. However things got ugly on the next day, a full blown riot happened inside the stadium and the entire stadium had to be emptied and the final moments of the match was played in an almost empty stadium.
