Prepossessing the ability to effortlessly manoeuvre through the realms of house and techno, Tim Green has constantly experimented across the spectrum of electronic music. Whether putting out reverberating minimal techno, smooth deep house, or sprinkling some of that unmistakable TG charm over productions of popular appeal, his work is stamped by ingenuity, fearlessness and fun.
Tim burst onto the scene back in 2008 with modern classics - ‘Revox’ and ‘Mr Dry,’ which were snapped up by highly revered labels, Dirtybird and Trapez Records. The records picked up support from top players such as Pete Tong, Sven Vath, Richie Hawtin and Luciano along the way and Tim swiftly catapulted himself into the upper echelons of the techno hierarchy. Countless high profile releases have followed since, on labels such as Cocoon, Get Physical, Saved, Four:Twenty, while his skills as a remixer have seen him turn his hand to an increasingly impressive cast, which includes Friendly Fires, Cassius, Booka Shade, Claude VonStroke, Timo Maas and Seth Troxler to name a few.
Over the past 2 years Tim has found a welcome outlet for his creative freedom, launching and continuing to run the Disc Over Music label. Releasing his own explosive singles like ‘Just People’ in 2013 and more recently, his ‘We Thought’ EP in 2015, allows this creativity to flourish and further hone his sound. Tim has established a name for the Disc Over Music similar to his own solo career and the label has gained support from the likes of Sven Vath, Marco Carola, Solomun, Eats Everything and more. This has happened through a host of underground house bombs from the likes of Luca Lozano, Nicson and aforementioned forthcoming label artist Reber as well as much more in the pipeline.
Tim's sound has seen him tour every corner of the globe over the past decade as a DJ. He is a regular for the likes of Womb Tokyo, Fabric London, Watergate Berlin, Space Ibiza, Circus Liverpool, Jaegar Oslo, Electric Pickle Miami, Spy Bar Chicago, D-Edge Sao Paulo and many more. Tim also in the coming months will be rolling out his exciting new band project, a project he has been developing for some time and we expect nothing less then absorbing, mind bending music from the project, get excited.
2015 has already proved this evolution, with recent remixes of M.A.N.D.Y’s past tracks including ‘Montagmaschine,’ which features on the ‘Remixes EP’ alongside Guti and Marc Houle. Tim will continue to put his touch to reworks later in the year with a remix for Kidnap kid on FFRR Records, whilst also returning to a home from home; Get Physical Records, compiling and mixing their infamous compilation CD, as well as a 2 track EP, ‘Eclipse’ on Cocoon Recordings. As a solo artist and label manager, Tim is set on a path to even greater success as the year continues.
