The 7th house means the other person or the opposite. The 1st means Me or I and the 7th house means the other person, the person on the other side. So it deals with marriage, relationship and physical union. It also related to trade, risk in life while travelling (general risk to life) because it opposes the Lagna (Ascendant) which represents life.
