Londoners packed Trafalgar Square on Wednesday (April 18) to enjoy the sunshine on the hottest day of the year so far.

Footage shows dozens of people soaking up some rays as they sit on Trafalgar Square's iconic fountains.

Temperatures in the UK reached 26 degrees Celsius for much of the country and today could be even hotter.
