Beyoncé's Scholarship Program Donating $100,000 Total to 4 HBCU’S The singer’s BeyGOOD scholars program gave $25,000 grants to Xavier, Wilberforce, Tuskegee and Bethune-Cookman. The grants are for the 2018-2019 school year an are part of the Homecoming Scholars Award Program. All applicants must have a 3.5 GPA or higher to qualify, and multiple fields of study are included. All finalists and winners will be selected by the universities. Winners will be announced in the summer. The announcement comes on the heels of Beyoncé's Coachella performance, which included a marching band styled on those from black colleges and universities.
