--------------------------------\r
This tutorial is for golden diys, alexisaspoon, Memo Chanel, Vandyan Ha, jasmine smith, Doc Hiluluk, Tania Kaur and many more who wanted to learn how to draw a portrait.\r
\r
Start with the oval of the face.Leave a two fingers distance in the upper part of the human head. The rest of it, split it in 3 equal parts. Each of these 3 equal parts reflects the size of the nose. So, in short, the nose is the 3rd part of the face.Trace parallel lines, to have the axes of the face. The eyes are disposed in this way that between the eyes there could another eye. The eyes are spheres, so treat them like spheres. \r
\r
Now we start drawing the eyes. The upper part can be reduced to 3 planes and the lower part, into two parts. The ears have the same size as the nose, do you can sketch them very fast.\r
Start constructing the nose, as you can see in my drawing. For more, see all my videos where I explain how to draw the eyes, lips and so on, in detail.\r
\r
When you want to sketch the eyebrows, calculate their upper point as being the intersection of the sides of the nose with the pupil.\r
\r
Then use parallel lines to shade a little bit the face. Draw the details to the eye and then try to sketch the hair, lips and nose. \r
\r
For the lips, use your more intense lines, so press a little bit harder with your 8B pencil.\r
Add contrast and shadow to the eyes and the areas that are in shadow.\r
Going back to the hair, just sketch a simple haircut shape and use your lines to create the volume of the hair. Simply put the shadow near the ears and neck.\r
At the end, I will underline the proportions I previously mentioned: the nose is one third of the face, the distance between the eyes represents another eye. \r
\r
The lower segment, if you split it into two parts you will obtain the line between the lips. If you trace a line starting at the base of the nose, you will obtain the point where the eyes start.\r
\r
Good luck with this exercise!
