Maya the Bee is the protagonist in the comic book The Adventures of Maya the Bee, as well as animated TVpublished as far back as 1912. The stories involve a little bee called Maya, as well as her friends Flip the grasshopper, Willy the bee, Mayas teacher Mrs. Cassandra, and a multitude of other insects and creatures. In f, the book portrays the development of Maya from a daring youth to a trustworthy adult member of the society of bees.\r

Maya is a little bee born in a bee hive while there is inner disturbance: the hive is being divided into two brand new colonies. Her teacher, Mrs. Cassandra, is raising Maya. In spite of her teachers words of warning, Maya yearns to venture out and to travel around the world, thus perpetrating the unpardonable offense of abandoning the hive. Maya, in exile, has many adventures, befriending other insects and braving many dangerous adventures with them. In one of the highlights of the story, the hornets, the sworn enemies of the bees, take Maya as a prisoner.\r

What is Maya like? This cute little bee cherishes freedom, as she lives in the meadow all by herself, which is completely a different situation to the other bees living in the hive. Maya is a good little bee, believing in justice, usually quite happy and always eager to help anybody who needs it. What frequently causes problems is that Maya is quite an adventurous and bold bee. Her appearance, unlike the other anime figures, differ from season to season. First her head is of a round shape, and then, in season two, it is of an oval shape. Season three shows her as being very slim, with a round head and longer antennae. What is odd is, even though Maya is a little bee, her colors are that of a wasp – yellow and black stripes. Yet it can be said that this little bee is the most well-liked and powerful person on the entire meadow. Her key enemies are hornets and wasps.\r

This interesting and colorful play set is based on the famous animated TV , and features Maya the bee, a backdrop of a beehive, three bee figures (Maya, the Queen bee, Mrs. Cassandra), many accessories (such as a lily throne for the queen, a swing made from a leaf, a flower clock, potato-red mushrooms, pretty red flowers, and many others), and the instructions printed on the box: it first shows a hinged window, then the queen is to be seated in her throne, after that the time on the clock on the flower needs to be changed and Maya is to be raised to the lift, then we can see Maya sitting in a class with Mrs. Cassandra for a lesson, subsequently Maya is to be helped to transport the honey into the lift, and then Maya is rocking in her leafy swing. After that, it is time to rest, and then the kids can enjoy pushing Maya and her friends down the slide. \r
