Pharmaceutical Giants Research Cannabis Drugs Despite Federal Restrictions

Federal policies in the United States restrict marijuana research, and have made it difficult to study the drug and to produce cannabis-based drugs. However, the Feds are not stopping pharmaceutical companies from their research. Some are developing drugs made with marijuana compounds in labs just north of the border. Others are growing the raw materials for their products in South America. Some drugs wil appear first in marijuana dispensaries in states where marijuana has been legalized.
