Police Get Call About 'Crazy Lady Talking to Herself,' Turns Out to be a Reporter on Facebook Live

A reporter in Pittsburgh was broadcasting on Facebook Live on April 5 when her stream was interrupted by a police officer who told her he was called after someone phoned 911 and told police “there’s a crazy lady talking to herself along Route 30.”Meghan Schiller of KDKA went live while reporting about “sinking roads”, informing followers about road closures in the east of the city. When she returned to her van to continue the broadcast, the voice of a person could be heard saying “do you realize I got called for a crazy lady talking to herself.”At first Schiller thought the police officer was joking and said “I would believe it, though, if someone called and said that!” That prompted the officer to say “They did, that’s why I’m here.” When the officer realized the call was about a news reporter, he left, and Schiller ended her broadcast.
