There Are Four Types Of Shame

According to Business Insider, "We feel shame for many different reasons, in a variety of ways." Recently, author Joseph Burgo wrote a book called "Shame: Free Yourself, Find Joy, and Build True Self-Esteem." In an book, Burgo explains there are four types of shame: unrequited love, unwanted exposure, disappointed expectation, and exclusion. Shame is a human emotion that developed for the purposes of survival.
