Oklahoma Public Schools Close As Teachers Vote With Their Feet

Oklahoma teachers walked off the job on Monday, closing schools statewide.
They want wage hikes for some of the lowest-paid educators in the United States.
They're also demanding more funds for a system weakened by years of budget cuts.
The state's teachers union said, “We’re walking because our students deserve more."
Oklahoma’s GOP congress approved the state’s first major tax increase in 25 years.
