Walmart Gunman Scott Allen Ostrem Ruled Mentally Fit for Trial

On Monday, a judge ruled that a man who fatally shot three people in a Denver-area Walmart last year is competent to stand trial for murder. Back in January, 48-year-old Scott Allen Ostrem was ordered to undergo a competency evaluation at the request of his attorneys. Adams County District Judge Mark Warner made the ruling after a recent examination by the Colorado Mental Health Institute in Pueblo found that Ostrem is mentally fit.
