Directions:\r
1. Measure your waist, then add two inches and then divide by 6.28. This will give you the measurement for the inner circle of your skirt template.\r
2. Put your ruler at the corner of your sheet of paper and make marks at the number from step one in a quarter of a circle and then connect the dots (easier to watch in video)\r
2. Decide how long your skirt will be, I made mine 20 inches\r
3. Do the same thing from step 2 but with the length of the skirt\r
4. Cut out your skirt template\r
5. Cut out a square of your blue fabric with the measurements being the length of your skirt x 2 by the length of your skirt x 2, so because my skirt was 20 inches, my square was 40 inches by 40 inches\r
7. Fold this square in half so it is a rectangle, and then fold it in half again so it is a square again.\r
8. One of the corners should only have folded over edges. Place your skirt template on this square with the inner circle facing the corner with only folded over edges\r
9. Pin the template down and then cut out your fabric\r
10. When you unfold the fabric it should look like a giant donut\r
11.. Cut a second piece of blue fabric with the measurements being your waist measurement plus 2 by about 6 inches\r
12. Fold this piece of fabric in half and then use your fabric glue to keep it closed. I pin it after I glue it to keep it in place while the glue dries.\r
13. Take your blue tulle and fold it a couple times so it is thicker and the width should be about a foot long, cut this out.\r
14. Cut your tulle in half, and the round the edges leaving one straight edge so that it looks like half of an oval.\r
15. Sew the straight edge shut\r
16. Repeat on the second half of the tulle\r
17. Cut your donut shaped skirt in half so it is a crooked line\r
18. Line up your tulle half of ovals so they are on either side of the skirt.\r
19. Sew them down using 5 stitches. One stitch in the middle, a stitch on each of the outside edges, and then two stitches holding down the parts that poof up between the outside edges and the middle stitch\r
20. Pin down the waist band to the skirt, and then sew the two together\r
21. Make your top have a sweetheart neckline by finding the middle of the top and loosely sewing up starting about 3 inches down, then pull tight and tie it off\r
22. Fold over your tulle a few times so it is about 4 inches wide. Then bunch up one end and sew it together\r
23. Sew this to the front strap of the tank top, then measure to see where the back of the tulle meets up with the back of the tank top, bunch up that spot and then sew it together. Then sew the back of the tulle to the back strap of the tank top. Repeat with the second strap\r
24. Take your inexpensive shoes and spray paint them silver, it took be about 3 coats to make sure they were completely covered\r
25. Spray the shoes with the glitter spray paint, again it took about 3 coats\r
26. Hot glue the jewels to the front of the shoes\r
27. To go under your skirt your will need a tutu skirt poofer thing, but they are kind of expensive and can be made using 2-3 yards of white tulle and a stretchy headband or piece of elastic!\r
\r
Put your hair up in a bun and add a blue headband to complete your Cinderella Costume!\r
\r
Total Costume Cost (including the glass slippers): $44
