Six seal pups rescued by a sanctuary in the south-west of England were released back into the wild at a beach today.
The pups - named Alfred, Charlestown, Grambler, Warleggan, Ted and Crofty - were released by Cornish Seal Sanctuary at Porthtowan, on Cornwall's north Atlantic coast.
These were the first pups to be released after an exceptionally busy season. The team at the sanctuary have been working around the clock to ensure these seal pups successfully go through the rehabilitation process to be able to be released back into the wild.
A dog off his lead going for a walk on the beach chased after one of the pups, but the seal was unharmed.
