The first time through it must have taken me hundreds of tries to defeat Barrel King on pug mode. This time through only a few times. If you may notice, I have a system for the barrels and I always jump on the same barrel each time. If you follow that order, you will always remember where the green buttons will show up after a few tries. Other tips are during the raining fire part, you can hide in either corner. During the platform stage, I like to take out two of the round enemies by waiting directly above them on the platforms. Last tip is for the final barrel section, make sure you have enough distance to reach Barrel King from your high jump off the rolling barrels otherwise you will land in the fire below you.
