Trump's New Top Security Adviser Wants To Bomb Iran

H.R. McMaster is out as National Security Advisor to the Trump administration. On Thursday night the President announced McMasters departure and immediately revealed his replacement. Controversial and former US ambassador to the UN and noted foreign policy hawk John Bolton has been selected by the President. There is broad concern that Boltons hawkish views on Iran, including advocating for direct military action against the country and the tearing up of the nuclear deal on multiple occasions, could be damaging for U.S. foreign relations. Critics are calling the Bolton appointment a betrayal of Trump's base, since he campaigned on a platform of non-intervention.
