200cc Shifter Kart FIRST RIDE

We ride the Lifan 200cc 5 speed go kart for the first time, and it's one very fast racing go kart. We had to finish by simplifying the Lifan's wiring, running a Go Power Sports, clutch cable, welding a brake pedal, and fabricating a quick shifter before we could ride it.

I had a hard time figuring out the shift pattern- I eventually shifted it without using the clutch. It had tons of power, and neither of us reached peak 16 horsepower at 8500 RPM either. Next week, we'll take it out to a secluded stretch of road where we can try for a speed run.
