We have had at least 100 comments asking us what microphones we use and why, so Brad and I put together this short guide explaining a few of the key differences and similarities between USB and XLR microphones.\r

We had at least 1 million technical issues making this video but we have just got our hands on a lot of new kit so this shouldnt happen again! Thanks for bearing with us.\r

I also want to put to bed a MYTH that you cannot use two USB microphones at the same time. This is only a MYTH, I have done it for several of our older covers where I simply plugged two or more into the same laptop and was good to go :)\r

Headphones : Beyerdynamic DT 770 pro and DT 1990 Pro\r
Monitors : KRK Rokit 5 GP3\r
Interface : Audient id14 \r
Keyboard: M Audio Axiom 49 2nd Gen ( Upgrading to Novation next week)\r
Microphones: RODE NT 2 A and RODE NT USB (Cannot get better at the price)\r
Piano VST: Addictive Keys\r
Drum Samples : Native FL Studio or Real drum samples recorded by Warren Huart and Matt Starr ( Ill see if they will let me share them with you guys)\r

Q: Why dont you guys make your own songs?\r
A: We do, we have lots of original music on a playlist on the channel home page and also on our main channel H Y B R I D :)\r

Q: Which music College/ university did you attend?\r
A: We didnt, we have been doing this for about 1 year in our bedroom while studying a Biomedical engineering masters degree.\r

Q: How long have you been doing this?\r
A: On and off for one year\r
\r
Q: What instruments do you play?\r
A: Between Brad and I we play Piano, Bagpipes, Guitar, Drums, Vocals (does that count?) and all the synth too :)\r
