FAQs about RESIN:\r
\r
♥ What is resin?\r
- Resin crafting is a two part crafting medium, the resin and the hardener. They are two liquid parts, that when combined cure into a hard, clear, plastic like pieces. Resin can be poured into molds for various shapes, and glitter, stickers, and other things can be embedded inside them.\r
\r
♥ Can you do a tutorial on resin?\r
- Resin tutorials can be very extensive, and there are already many basic resin tutorials on you tube. I suggest searching ones made by CrafterzDelights, PaperPastels, and Toniellison. I do not think Ill be doing any resin tutorials any time soon (except maybe one for the Skully Girl mold piece)\r
\r
♥ What resin do you use?\r
- Envirotex Lite\r
\r
♥ Where did you buy everything?\r
- The resin: Hobby Lobby (can be found in other craft stores and hardware stores)\r
- The glitter: Martha Stewart and WOW! glitter brands, found at Hobby Lobby, AC Moore, TJ Maxx, and Ross\r
- The stickers: the Dollar Tree, Hobby Lobby, AC Moore, basically most craft stores\r
- The molds: most craft stores like Hobby Lobby, AC Moore, Michaels, etc. \r
MANY RESIN TOOLS CAN ALSO BE FOUND ONLINE LIKE ON ETSY OR STORENVY\r
\r
♥ How do you color your resin?\r
- Most of the pieces have colored backgrounds made by glitter. Other solid colored backgrounds were made by mixing some acrylic paint in with the resin, and the white backgrounds were made with Resin Pigments which can be purchased at craft stores.\r
\r
♥ How do you paint your resin pieces?\r
- After the piece has cured, I just simply paint an image on the surface of the piece with acrylic paint. Nothing special at all. After the paint has dried, I pour a small layer of resin on top of the paint and let it cure. Then its finished. (easier said than done though haha)\r
\r
♥ Do you glaze your resin pieces?\r
- I glazed some of them (the owl one, the chococat one, any of them with no flat surface i glazed) with Varathane glaze (I have a review on it), but for the rest of them I just dome the top with more resin. If you dont know what doming with resin means, just search it on YouTube and youll find videos one it ^-^\r
