To calculate oil measurement for your mold- L x W x H x .39\r

100% Coconut Oil Soap Recipe that I used (this is a guideline, always run your oils and lye through a soap calculator prior to making a batch, as individual suppliers may have different SAP values and lye purities.)\r
\r
38 oz. Coconut Oil\r
5.65 oz lye (NOTE: check your coconut oil SAP value. This was the measurement based on my lye, coconut oil, and soap calculator. However, other soap calculations have come up with 5.47 oz. lye and 5.57 oz. lye. Always double check based on your current ingredient values.)\r
\r
12.5 oz water. which I split into 10 oz. water, and 2.5 oz of Aloe Juice/Chamomile extr mixture. (You can keep this as 12.5 oz of water. The other items are optional.)\r
\r
The chamomile/aloe mixture does NOT have to be added to your lye. It can be added at trace if you prefer.\r

**Footnote**\r
\r
100% Coconut Oil would just be coconut oil. Experienced soapmakers refer to the percentages in terms of oil base, so this is a 100% Coconut Oil Soap, with the base oils consisting of 100% coconut oil. Castile soap is another example. Made with 100% olive oil, it too, will have other ingredients. You cant have soap without lye, and a lye solution has to have water (or another water replacement such as milk, juice, etc.)\r

For safety reasons, I have since changed to a stainless steel frothing pitcher for my lye solution. Soapers who have used Pyrex dishes multiple times for many batches have experienced issues with glass breakage. I have never had this happen, but in the spirit of better safe than sorry, use stainless steel.\r
\r
And as always. have to say it again:\r
Always calculate your recipe in a soap calculator, check your lye for purity to see if measurement needs to be adjusted.
