In this first , we make a double agent clock in preparation for the learning process. This clock is perfect to help children grasp the difficult concept of telling the time on an analogue clock. It is colourful, fun, engaging and a useful tool that children can use for years - until they really understand how to tell the time.\r

There are a lot of stages that children go through when learning to tell the time. This toy clock helps children throughout all the different stages. Theof making it helps to highlight the circular and repetitive nature of time and helps children prise counting up to 12. The hidden numbers behind the little doors encourage children to differentiate between the hour and minute hands andas a physical reminder of the 5 times table (essential for telling the time). It really helps to build confidence, as children can use the doors as a checking mechanism, but eventually wont need to use them at all. \r

The hands are removable, so you can work on the meaning of each individual hand, or use it for mastery questions by placing the hour hand at a specific time and asking the child to put the minute hand on by themselves.\r
