Charity Shop Gold or Garbage? RC Helicopter 35MHz

Another Charity Shop find and apart from the f I broke it testing it indoors - as the instructions say - this is pure gold. Yes it is 35MHz so it is old technology but it does work and if I can repair the bit I broke I will be flying it outdoors as soon as possible.\r

It was sold by Maplin Electronics which is a reliable brand but I am guessing the chances of getting replacement parts is pretty slim as I think this is probably a few years old so I will probably have to do a repair job which is not really a good idea.\r
I was foolish to try it indoors even though the instructions recommend it is flown indoors. Obviously they really mean in a large sports hall or similar, not in your kitchen or dining room. We will have to see if I can repair it. Worst case is I now have a good working transmitter and receiver, a LiPo battery and charger, and some good motors so I win either way.\r

I get asked to make drones and helicopters so often I have a standard cut and past reply.The answer is NO. To make a helicopter or quadcopter stable in flight I would have to buy so many parts designed for the purpose it is cheaper to buy a ready made helicopter or quadcopter or a kit. A good example would be something like the Eachine H7 2.4G 6-Axis LED Mini RC Quadcopter. On top of that, my channel is aimed at simple, quick, cheap projects and a helicopter or quadcopter build is not a simple, quick, or cheap project. You would be better finding a channel that specialises in RC Quadcopters or Helicopters so you get the information from people who know what they are talking about. FliteTest would be a good place to start \r
