Trackmaster Flynn VS all new TOMY Flynn Unboxing review and first run
Hi Guys and Gals a very long video but I wanted to make sure I covered everything on both versions. I have to state here that the TOMY $45 one was almost double the price of the Trackmaster $24 one but this could be because of my location in the world + postage etc, as stated I got the Trackmaster on sale for $14.99\r

Its hard to choose between the 2 I do like the black wheels on TM Flynn although not accurate to the show it does present very well, the molding is also excellent on the TM Flynn but a few painted details would have made it outstanding. The TOMY Flynn I feel is outstanding with all its painted details and movable ladder, the fake road wheels are a good and bad point they look good but my first instinct was to try and turn them and they are fake. In real life Trucks/Lorries like this would not run on the rails with their road wheels but would lower a set of rail wheels and travel on those so it is kind of true to real life and to the show.\r

Both Flynns run on a single AA battery but the drive units are different in both (Trackmaster having the classic larger Thomas type drive unit and TOMY the modern flat type). Both run very quietly but the TOMY is faster out of the box, The Trackmaster did get slightly faster as I filmed but not enough to keep up with the TOMY.\r

Both Flynns come with a water tank truck but the TOMY comes with a small Pump trailer also, this small pump trailer has a different sort of coupling that connects to a loop coupling and the trailer has no rear coupling as Flynn doesnt pull trains. The details painted on the TOMY rollingstock makes it standout from the Trackmaster ones here but as I said in the video i can paint on details to the TM version to make it just as lovely as the TOMY version.\r
