FREE EBOOKLET Suppose the choice was between eating raw high fat foods like nuts, seeds and avocados or cooked, high carbohydrate foods like potatoes, sweet potatoes and grains - whats the best? \r
\r
These days theres a lot of talk about raw vs cooked diets and in between the two theres the raw till 4 approach. \r
\r
Fruit is the best, no doubt. Raw, fresh, ripe fruit eaten as is will provide the best nutrient profile for humans with the least amount of toxic baggage and heavy digestion. \r
\r
That being said, just because something is raw does not mean its ideal! Nuts and seeds are very high in fat and tend to not only digest very heavily but fail to supply us with many vital nutrients. A high fat diet is also a low volume diet, with little fiber and little water. \r
\r
Too much fat in the bloodstream leads to diabetes, candida and other blood sugar disorders due to insulin resistance. Reducing the fat to less than 15% of total calories does not only ensure proper blood sugar metabolism but it also leaves you more satisfied due to the availability of the fuel (in the form of carbohydrate) as well as providing you with more fiber, more water, more minerals and more vitamins on a per calorie basis. \r
\r
If there was no fruit available, theres no doubt that going to the cooked carbohydrate foods like roots and tubers, grains and legumes would ually be a better choice than relying on the high fat gourmet raw vegan fare. \r
