Future MacBooks May Be Crumb-Resistant And Spill-Proof

Apple is working to develop a crumb-resistant and spill-proof keyboard for the next MacBook. According to paperwork for a patent discovered by Digital Trends, Apple says, “A keyboard assembly [could include] a substrate, a key cap, and a guard structure extending from the key cap that funnels contaminants away from the movement mechanism.” Apple describes a list of potential solutions including gaskets, flaps, brushes or wipers.
