According to a report by Reuters, US President Donald Trump's recent threat to unleash a trade war over steel dashed any hopes of making substantial progress in NAFTA talks, while also raising fears for the trade deal's future. Jeremy Dias, the head of Canadian private-sector union Unifor, reportedly called Trump's latest push for his "America First" campaign had immediately soured NAFTA negotiations.
