Lidl looted and destroyed, safe removed with digger during Storm Emma in Tallaght

On February 2nd during Storm Emma in which a national emergency had been declared, a Lidl supermarket on Fortunestown Lane in Tallaght, West Dublin was looted and torn down using a mechanical digger. The safe was removed with the digger and the thieves were attempting to open it when the Gardaí attended the scene.
