CNN poll shows Americans' support for gun control at 25-year high

A CNN poll shows more than 70 percent of Americans support stricter gun control, marking the highest level of support in 25 years.
It was conducted from last Tuesday to Friday and came in the wake of the Florida school shooting earlier this month, which left 17 people dead.
Only 27 percent of the one-thousand-16 surveyed said they oppose tougher measures
According to CNN, just 52 percent supported new gun control legislation in a survey conducted last October just after the mass shooting in Las Vegas.
The latest poll had a margin error of plus or minus three-point-seven percentage points.
